Hey all you cool cats out there. Hello, welcome to the Cool Cats Cast, the show where me, Connor, Cameron, and Jelani break down everything happening in the world of video games, tech, and nerd culture. Like I said before, I am Connor. Happy Saturday. And these are the boys, Cameron Jelani. Hello. How's it going? You like that intro, bitch?
SPEAKER_02I did like that intro, bitch. It was alright. Could have been better. It could have been better. I was talking to Connor about it earlier the week. And he fucking followed up on it. He followed up. Hell yeah. Hey, I'm here. Welcome, guys. That's called production value right there.
SPEAKER_05Value. What's going on? I hear you in a second. Yep. Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_04Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_05Doing okay.
SPEAKER_02I'm doing okay. I uh I went to the doctor this week. Just a little health update for Cam. I'm not gonna go too deep into it. But uh I'm I might be on that that Ozympic game sometime soon. I don't know if it's Ozympic exactly, but I might be on that team.
SPEAKER_01GLP1 type shit.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. We'll have to see if my insurance covers it, because apparently my insurance is dog shit. So we'll we'll see what happens there. But that was my week in terms of that. Um how was your guys' week?
SPEAKER_04Yo, cook of silence. The brother. Yo, we looked at each other through the screen.
SPEAKER_05Uh we're here.
SPEAKER_01Medea. Chillin.
SPEAKER_02Our listeners are gonna start like putting like a like a board up of just like what the theories are that they think you guys do, and just like what these issues are because every single time I'm like, hey, how's your guys' week? You both just do like a to each other.
SPEAKER_05I think we talked about it a while ago, but like not like super depth. Yeah, Brick killed a guy. Yeah. I mean it's it's one of those things where like you're not far off. Oh shit. Yeah. It's a job. Yeah, we do shit. Do it on the day daily.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. There you go. One of my favorite what I one of my favorite saying it sayings is what we do is our sector's version of firefighting. So just Okay. When we get called in, shit's fucked. And it's our job to unfuck it. Like you're out there saving lives and lives. I wouldn't be so re I wouldn't be so resentful of the shit I do sometimes if it was actually lives I was saving. Feels more like we're saving millionaires and billionaires a couple of dollars when they fuck up and we have to fix it for 'em.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, it's like they actively light their own dumpster fire, and then we have to come in like, split on the gloves, boys, we're doing it.
SPEAKER_02And they get mad shit. From the way it sounds, and then they get mad at you for the dumpster fire even being a thing.
SPEAKER_01Brother.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Yeah. Well, how about gaming? Would you uh what about like you, Connor?
SPEAKER_05What'd you do for gaming this week? What did we do for gaming?
SPEAKER_02Uh I don't know.
SPEAKER_01We ain't French. What? We ain't French. We haven't been playing games together for real, for real.
SPEAKER_05Oh yeah. It's been a while. Um We did our Final Fantasies this week. That's true. Slowly grinding. And then Call of Duty Beta. What level am I? 7-6. 7-6, huh? 76? 7-6. I'm 7-6 currently.
SPEAKER_01Not 6-7, 6-7.
SPEAKER_05Alright, so that's the pot, everybody. Have a good day. Alright, we'll see you in a couple weeks.
SPEAKER_02Hello, fellow youths.
SPEAKER_05Um the um uh Call of Duty beta started again. Oh, yeah, you've been playing that. So I've been grinding and bashing my head into a wall.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, how does that how does it go into it a little bit?
SPEAKER_05How does it feel in terms of other Call of Duty? I'm curious. I was I was talking about it earlier, is that it's like super um twitchy. The time to kill is like mad high. So I feel like you have reaction time. Yeah, you just have no reaction time. Yeah. Um it's kind of like whoever's got that first shot off is pretty much wedding uh ordeal. Which is fine, I guess.
SPEAKER_02I feel like that's been Call of Duty for a few years though.
SPEAKER_05Like how does that up and shit and and and you know, someone will cry about it. Some streamer who has like 10,000 viewers will cry about it for fucking three weeks. And then they'll be like, Well, we made some changes due to the community uh uh uh community uh comments. No, you listen to the top streamer on fucking Twitch. Every fucking bullshit.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, you it's probably like a PR thing where they're just like, listen, we hear you. Guys, we heard your concerns. Yeah, we hear you.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it's the same thing they do with what's it called, skill-based matchmaking every time. Every time they come up before and have this thing that they have to say, and it's like either look, we have the data, skill-based matchmaking works, or they come out for a generation and say, Yeah, we'll turn turn it down this time, and then and then whatever happens is what they say will happen, happens, and then they have to turn it back on.
SPEAKER_05I think my favorite thing with that is I think they in um Black Ops 7 they uh have like a whole playlist that's like not uh standard-based matchmaking or skill-based, sorry. And then um no one played it because they were like, this sucks. I wanna I wanna have skill-based matchmaking back, so everyone just plays not that playlist.
SPEAKER_02Well there I think I think there's a big difference though, because I think that that has kind of been a topic in Rivals and Overwatch that's been sort of like chewed up at this point, which is like the difference between uh EOMM and SBMM, where like EOMM is like experience-based mass matchmaking, engagement.
SPEAKER_01Engagement, engagement optimized matchmaking. So when you are matched with people who spend more money in the game and what's it called, and who are slightly more skilled in the game to give a psychological effect, that that skin or that what's it called, that in-game weapon, whatever thing is contributing to the fact that you're getting shit stomped when it's actually the game, like you know, jiggering it about in the back end to make it or keep it so that like you consistently see people with these skins and these unlocks, but you you your win-to-loss ratio is just enough to keep you fucking playing as long as possible.
SPEAKER_02Just enough. Like, if you're losing too much, they'll throw a get throw you against a bunch of bots just to give you that win or whatever. And then you're like, oh cool, this game's great, and then you just get right back to the grind of just like and like if you're gonna implement a matchmaking system, do an actual SBMM if you're gonna do that. Because like, don't get me wrong, like I understand like getting thrown to the wolves without any sort of SBMM. I I get that that's a rough thing, especially in like a competitive game. Like, there definitely should be like a certain level of like, why am I playing against this dude? This is like way out of my skill base. Like the but I do think there should be like I don't want to just like if I'm a one like say if I'm a Call of Duty player and I like have a one a 1.1 KDR, like I don't want to only go against other players that are 1.1. Like I'm never gonna get better if I'm doing that. I'm never gonna get like I'm just gonna stay stagnant at that 1.1 and it like like yeah, I'll probably get good within that realm, but I don't know. I for me it's definitely a hard topic.
SPEAKER_01Uh I don't know. I as someone who is actively saved by SBMM, like I'm not gonna like give any illusions that like I'm a great first-person shooter player, I'm just another regular Joe when it comes to that shit. I will actively say that like the last time I played Call of Duty, even I could tell you know, this this needs work. I can feel the roller coaster at this point. I can actively feel the roller coaster. Of just like the ups and downs of like how you feel when you're playing, and like I can see, like I see the patterns, like I can see when I'm losing, it's fucking Nicki Minaj behind the gun. I can fucking tell that that's happening every time, Activision. Like, what the fuck?
SPEAKER_05Yeah, yeah, they they don't do a good job of like balancing because even like not to toot my own horn, pretty fucking good. He's pretty fucking good. There are times where I'm good and then like I'm too good, and then they ramp it up, but they're like ramp it's too good. No, and it's like even these like fucking sweat lobbies, and I'm like, this guy hasn't touched grass and came out and I can hang. I have a fucking nine to five Monday through Friday, dude. Chill out.
SPEAKER_02I remember when like I remember when Bad Company 2 came out and uh Battlefield Bad Company 2, and dude, I I stayed up all night. This is back, I'm I mean, when did Bad Company 2 come out? Like 20 years ago at this point? Yeah, yeah. So like I stayed up all night, and then I had taken the next uh like for whatever reason I had the next day off, so I had like literally played the entire next day. I don't think I had the I don't even think I had the potential to be able to make that decision for myself at that time. I don't I think we were all in school.
SPEAKER_04I'm pretty sure we were in school. I got the black look.
SPEAKER_02Um but yeah, I remember I just remember staying up all night and then playing all the following next day, and I had like already gotten to like rank 12, which like in that game, like you just had to like grind at that. And I remember someone like fucking because it was on Xbox just like sending me like a really angry message, be like, fucking go to sleep, bitch ass. Like, alright, whatever, dude. I'm just better. Sorry.
SPEAKER_01Like, good get good, get some rest.
SPEAKER_02I should have just responded with skill issue, but that wasn't really a term back then. Uh scoreboard. Or a a turn of phrase, you might say.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, um so that's Call of Duty. Yeah, Call of Duty. Um you know, a couple games here again here and there. The Star Wars um Zero Company came out.
SPEAKER_03Oh my god, I want to play that so bad.
SPEAKER_05I haven't had much time with it yet, but I played like the first couple missions, it was pretty neat. Um probably grind a little more today. And then uh yeah. I really I really really want to play that game so bad. It looks fun, yeah. It looks good. The music, oh my god.
SPEAKER_02I played the hell out of like Final Fantasy Tactics and as com uh XCOM and shit. So like you give me that kind of format game and you put Star Wars in that like place, I'm gonna nut. Like I love Star Wars.
SPEAKER_01I do like Don't you threaten me with a good time. I will come. We'll do this. I'm gonna do it.
SPEAKER_05Um I do like there's like a permadeath uh function, so like your squad is so it is like X like a three-strike, yeah. And so like if he gets downed a third time, he's just dead and you can't get him back.
SPEAKER_02In in one in one battle? Or yeah, one battle. Could you imagine? Three times throughout the whole game. Fuck I would like I would probably have like my whole roster via that third one by the end of the game and just be like at such like high anxiety levels.
SPEAKER_05Well, like spoilers, there's a guy that you I'm not gonna say who it is, but like a guy, like so they show that mechanic off. They just like make you put him to like awful situations just so he dies, and I'm like, yeah, that's kind of fucked up. Send him over and how's that mean? Is it a good thing? Play the game.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, play it. Alright. I'm gonna play it as soon as I get paid as a paid around it. I'm buying that shit. It's the first thing I'm doing.
SPEAKER_05It's in the first like 10 minutes, so it doesn't matter. Um but yeah. Uh Cameron, what about you?
SPEAKER_02Uh let's see, for gaming this week. Um a big one for me, and the uh especially in the last couple of days, has been um I had told you guys a few weeks ago that I had started a Final Fantasy VIII save. And then I didn't really touch it for a couple of weeks, and then I was just like having a day at work uh like earlier this week, and I just needed to take a break. And so I just sat down, I'm like, dude, what do I want to play? And I I was just like, you know what? I started a save, let's get into it. And so I I get started with Final Fantasy VIII and I started playing on my Steam Deck, and part of the issue I had like not really touched it is because the the Steam Deck version, like when you're when you're playing it on there versus like just Steam on your computer. Apparently a Steam Deck has some issues because it functions differently than the PC version since it's like Linux-based. So there's like all these like little hacks and little fucking things you have to do in the back end to like make it work. Like if I pause the game, for example, it just cuts off the fucking um the audio, like the music, which is like half the experience when you're playing Final Fantasy, right? So um I was trying to deal with that, but I mean thankfully I got it to like a stable point, and I've actually been playing it and having really fun time with it. Like um, you know, I don't know if you guys have played Final Fantasy VIII, but there's the whole like junction system and all that, and um, you know, just getting a whole bunch of magic and using the magic to make your stats stronger and stuff. So I uh I I'm like eight hours in technically, like in terms of my actual playtime, but I'm probably only like two hours into the story itself, because you can really like you can rush the shit out of the first part of the game pretty quickly, but I spent so much time just getting like a hundred of each different element spell that I had access to at that point that like I'm decked the fuck out of the at this point, like nothing can kill me. Like it's it's crazy. Like, I literally am fighting bosses and they're like doing their best they can against me, and I'm just sitting there hitting my stock button, and it's just like over whatever. I just like and they're just not I mean, I don't know, it's just and they'll probably change because I know I know Final Fantasy VIII is one of the few Final Fantasies that um the monsters in the game basically level up as you do. So if you go hit like level 90, all of a sudden all the monsters in the low-level zone are also level 90, and like they're more like they're not as complex as some enemies that are like higher level, but they're still like like HP sponges and stuff. So um, but it's it's it's been a fun time. I've been having a lot of fun with that. Um we're also gonna do more mystical ninja tonight. We're gonna see if we can beat that. Um a lot of emulated stuff. Yeah, the blue hair guy. Yeah, yeah, yeah. We uh we've been playing a lot of that, and uh we we've gotten all four of the characters now at this point, and we're I think we're getting I think we're getting to the end. I think we're in like the last quarter of the game. We've done a couple like big bosses at this point, and uh like in 64 games, like even Mario isn't like a huge time sink. Like it can be if you know if you go into like the nitty-gritty stuff, but I I can't imagine we have many more hours left of this game. So yeah. Um so that's been the basically that, and then you know, like you said, Final Fantasy, we always uh get together on Mondays and Wednesdays, and that's always a lot of fun. Um but yeah, that's it for me. What about you, Jelani?
SPEAKER_01Um if I remember correctly, I've basically been doing two things, and that's Dragon Ball Z Kakarot, because like you know, it's only the 20th time I'm revisiting that storyline, but like this is a new format. It's fun. I beat Frieza earlier this week, and you know what? That first Super Saiyan transformation goes fucking hard no matter how no matter how you watch it, no matter what format, whether it's in a game, the original anime, fucking a bridge, or Dragon Ball Zekai, that first transformation goes hard as shit. And it's it's like it's breaking the earth with it and shit. Exactly. And the fact that like he proceeds to like fucking slap the fucking shit out of Frieza for the for the entirety of the fight after that, it's fucking cathartic because like yo, I've never felt so pressed when a character in a cartoon said the word monkey. Like, I took that, I took that heavy whenever Frieza said that. It makes me happy every time I get to watch that asshole get the shit beat beat out of him. And then gets fucked up by his own saw move. Yo, how are you going to steal Krillin's signature move and then spam it suck at it? And spam it so hard you kill yourself with it. It's it's there it's almost like there's a reason Krillin only ever uses two of those things at once. Motherfucker.
SPEAKER_02I mean, that's like Frieza's whole thing, is like he thinks he's so like infallible, and like I feel like half the time he he fails is because of his own hubris.
SPEAKER_01So it was an entire storyline in Super that he attained Golden Frieza by like training actually for the first time in his life ever.
SPEAKER_02Oh, he's actually footworking to something. Wow, that's interesting. But I don't know if he watched Dragon Ball Super.
SPEAKER_05I have watched some sort of Dragon Ball, and I've watched a couple of the movies, including the Broly movie. Which I said.
SPEAKER_01The new Broly movie. The newer one. Oh, I love that one. That one was really.
SPEAKER_02Like the more he gets angry.
SPEAKER_01I like. I love the new what's it called? Dragon Ball Super Broly for that reason. And if you like watch it intently enough, not only is he just ramping up his key output, he is actually learning how to fight throughout the fight. Like the first time he swings at Vegeta, it's just a fucking haymaker. He telegraphs everything. By the time he is actually he by the time he gets to Goku and he's throwing hands with go you can see him actually using technique and skills. And like if you go back through the movie, you can see the points where it's like, no, that's go that he stole that from Vegeta to use it on Goku. Like you can you can watch through the movie him grow and learn, and I think that is the most interesting part of the new Broly to me. Is like Broly's always been a fucking rage, rage fueled fucking tank. But the fact that this one fucking like started from nothing and is now learning at an incredible rate, that makes him incredibly more interesting to me. As like now that he's a character with a future and not just a splash in the plan movie character that just shows up whenever they need a boost in revenue.
SPEAKER_02That's a kind of interesting point, too, because like I feel Like just his ability to learn makes you realize he must not have had many teachers aside from his father throughout his entire life. So like now he's actually fighting against like true artists active, like yeah. And the cur the fact that he's even able to keep up is crazy. So I have y'all make me want to watch that shit again. I haven't seen it in a couple years.
SPEAKER_01And it makes sense. Saiyans aren't the only the first two Saiyans to really train, train for like that are Goku and Vegeta. They're what's it called? They are from a long line of warriors that come out that are bait that are rated on their strength at birth, sorted, and then deployed. They're not really trained to like master the master or increase their power. They're more taught, this is what you have, this is what you're working with, and don't look at the moon unless you really need to look at the moon.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, they're like blank slates when they show up. Yeah. It's funny.
SPEAKER_01Dragon Ball Lore. That's my thing. I love it.
SPEAKER_02I love Dragon Ball. It's been a long time. I actually haven't watched the Dragon Ball series in a long time. And aren't they reworking Super? Am I wrong about that?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, they're doing a remaster from what I understand. But either way. That's beside the point. I've also the new Stalker 2. Uh what's it called? DLC drop this week.
SPEAKER_05Yep.
SPEAKER_01Uh cost of 2.0.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_01That shit's fucking good. Like, I'm not.
SPEAKER_02Go ahead. I was just wondering, does Stalker have anything to do with like Metro at all? Because I feel like they're No.
SPEAKER_05No. Metro's a book that was turned into a game. I think Stalker's just Stalker. But I mean it's the same. The only difference is that Metro is called Metro because they formed like a society underground. Uh Metro the Treasures. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Metro, Metro, the entire world. Most of the world, definitely Russia, got completely fucked in a nuclear winter.
SPEAKER_05Stalker has like pockets.
SPEAKER_01Stalker is uh an exploration of the Chernobyl zone. So it's a very specified zone of weird shit that occurred based off of like the common story of the Chernobyl nuclear. But like if you go into the Stalker lore, there's a couple of different incidents. It's still really localized. And I think to Connor's point, if I remember correctly, and I might be wrong, I think there's another zone-like zone where the Bermuda Triangle is in that world. Oh, that's neat. But I'm not a hundred percent sure off the top of my head.
SPEAKER_02I wish there was more like Bermuda Triangle kind of representation, I guess you'd say, in uh like media, like kind of like mummies. I feel like in the in like you know, you see vampires and werewolves everywhere, you don't see mummies everywhere. Like I I want to see more Bermuda Triangle like movies and games like do you really want me to answer that?
SPEAKER_01Do you really want me to comment on that? You're not gonna see it because what's it called look at the origination of the lore. Plus, what's it called? The Bermuda Triangle is like specifically like a western thing, from my understanding. Like most of the peoples of the who are local to that area are like, what the fuck are you guys talking about?
SPEAKER_02Yeah. I mean, I always just kind of figured it was probably just some sort of like natural thing that was just cut like people just getting lost out there, and that's just it is just is what it is. It's not anything paranormal, like we always kind of like, oh my god, Americans tend to treat it. But it was still like I don't know, when I was a kid, I was just like, man, that's such a cool concept of just like this one area in the open ocean that if you go in there, you're fucked.
SPEAKER_01You know, I'm glad uh look. Speaking on the paranormal, I a hundred percent agree on the Bermuda Triangle. However, I am still what's it called? I'm not one to completely dismiss everything. Mostly because the fact that they're moving that Annibal doll around the country right now gives me the heedy fucking jeebies. Yeah, that shit Hannibal. Yo. Like, it's a complete tangent, but like, can we talk about that for three seconds and how they need to leave that doll to fuck alone where they fucking found it? Just bury it.
SPEAKER_05Just bury it. Does what's his name happen now? The fucking one asshole guy on the street. He's the one who owns it, I'm pretty sure. Yeah. Um damn it. Uh yeah, because Ed and Lorraine had it for a while. Um, the people who the conjuring is based off of.
SPEAKER_01It's now, what's it called? It's in Salem, Massachusetts. Of course it is. Of course. Everybody who isn't financially involved in this is just like get this thing the fuck out of our time. Get this thing the fuck out of our time.
SPEAKER_03Like really? Where's the Google anyways?
SPEAKER_04Once again.
SPEAKER_05Well, there's the other Annabelle doll at. There's the other haunted doll that the one guy owns, um, the little Robert doll. You know about Robert the doll? Oh god. He's a little he's a little fucker. He's a little closer to home. He's in um uh Key West. So he's a little close. Um but he literally is just like this doll of like an old sailor, and he um basically just causes like bad luck to anybody that's like ever in the fucking presence of it. He's not that creepy looking, honestly. It looks fucking creepy, brother.
SPEAKER_01No, it looks creepy, man. I'm looking at it. It's fucking creepy.
SPEAKER_05Robert the doll. Oh, I've seen it. Robert the doll. Yeah, he doesn't fuck around, dude. He just makes people die.
SPEAKER_01Like it's not a creepy-looking doll. It's look, the fact that Annabelle is just a raggedy an, it was a letdown for me a little bit. Alright? Cool. But this Robert the Doll thing is legitimately creepy as shit looking. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05I'm pretty sure he has some sort of curse put on him by like a um The dog looks cursed. Is that a dog? Yeah.
SPEAKER_02It looks like a fucking Chihuahua. Like, I don't know how he got uh his hands on that, but yeah.
SPEAKER_01Like everything around every look, Connor, I love you to death, brother. But everything about this doll is fucking cursed. I hate it. Wait, what is it?
SPEAKER_05I think for my birthday we should go see Robert.
SPEAKER_02A couple months for my birthday we're gonna go see Robert. Where is it?
SPEAKER_05He's in Key West, dude. He's like shit, you guys are like he's some hours away from me. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01We're not you yo, you would have you would have to drug me and drag me.
SPEAKER_05I'm gonna go alone. Good. And then while I'm there, I'll take Robert the doll. Uh-huh. I'll bring him into the bathroom, I'll turn the lights off.
SPEAKER_01Alright, spin around after the it's so we're gonna have to start planning for the cool cats podcast to be like Cameron and Jelani formerly with Cat Dad. Will we still be the Cool Cats without Cat Dad?
SPEAKER_02Like Taking a doll into the bathroom and turning the lights off? What?
SPEAKER_05Well, you didn't listen to the end of it, and then I do the three spins, and then I yell bloody Mary into the mirror. Are you asking me to die? What is wrong with you?
SPEAKER_01That is that is honestly the most recklessly white thing I've ever heard you say to me.
SPEAKER_05For sure. Yeah. Uh quick tangent though. Those I always like the um like ghost shows where they're you know like in a haunted place and they react to like every little fucking noise. And then they show the camera footage and they're like, look at that orb. And I'm like, yo, motherfucker. That's a that's that's dust.
SPEAKER_02Brother, that's dust, man. Like, or it's a bug that got like hit by the fucking light because it's going in multiple different directions.
SPEAKER_05They're like You think a ghost is a gonna be a ball of light that just that's how you're gonna scare people? Fuck no. If I was a ghost, I'd be full apparition running at your ass. That's how I would do it.
SPEAKER_02You know, I remember watching um Ghost Hunters back in the day, and there was like they usually got like that kind of shit, which is like orbs and stuff like that, but then they're like one time they go to this like prison and they're like, it's like all the you know, it's like a supposedly haunted prison and like it's completely empty, and they're they're like walking the halls and stuff like that. And then like something happens. I can't remember what it was. I think like one of them like they got touched or they heard something, and they're like, oh fuck, bro, run! Like just get the fuck out of there so fucking fast. And they're they're their boss, their boss, it was it was taps, the ghost hunters. So like the boss Jason, I think I'm pretty sure his name was, he he like had to like bring them off to the side and he's like, guys, that was the most unprofessional shit I've ever fucking seen. Because he just fucking ran away from it.
SPEAKER_03Yup stupid.
SPEAKER_01Look, I loved that show. If I ever get the what's it called, the blessing of haunting somewhere in the afterlife, my first goal would be figuring out how to slap the shit out of someone with my ghostly hand. Just walk up and just Yeah. What the fuck just happened? What was that?
SPEAKER_04You feel that piece of that that that gust that's going through?
SPEAKER_05That's my favorite reaction is is like fucking hit or touch. It's just immediate fucking like oh we gotta go, guys. I'm like, no, no, no, no. They're not gonna be able to do anything to you.
SPEAKER_02They are a ghost. I would say the coolest ghost footage, big wink, big I'm winking or uh doing quotations with my fingers right now, sure. I'm winking with my fingers.
SPEAKER_01Um he is simultaneously winking, doing quotes with his fingers, and crossing his toes all on camera for the audio listeners. I don't even know how you do that.
SPEAKER_02Um but so the coolest like ghost footage I've ever seen, and uh Shay can attest to this. She we were watching uh this dude, Urbex Hill, and he does urban exploration stuff, so he'll go into like buildings that have been condemned for a really, really long time, and a lot of times there's just like homeless folks in there that he like kind of tries to like navigate around so he's like not messing with people, but there's also like you know drug shit going on. But there once in a while, there's like a like a crazy fucking like ghost type situation that's like really creepy. And there was this one where he he had set up uh because this is what he typically does. He has like a whole rig and he goes in by himself and he's he has like this uh setup on his back that's like strapped to him, but then he'll also like put several cameras around and he had a UV light or a um I think it was UV, it was like heat body signature heat stuff. And so you can literally like see him from across the way, and he's like he's just like walking around and stuff like that. And then all of a sudden, no other heat signatures in the room, like his whole rig gets pulled up to the point where he gets pulled up and then he gets slammed down into the ground and he like goes unconscious for like 10 minutes, and like you can literally like watch the footage. He's like just laying there, and then he just wakes up and he like doesn't know where he's at for a minute, and then he kind of just like puts the pieces together of like what happened, and he like looks back over the footage, like, what the fuck? I would say that's probably the coolest or because I whenever I see ghost footage, I always like try to like I'm at like I've become a skeptic over the years in terms of just like I've never seen true footage that like really ever shakes me or anything. Right. But that was one of the few pieces of media that I'm like, holy fuck, I couldn't like figure out how he would have done it. Like there was no other body signatures in the room, and it was on a live feed that he had, so it's not like he could have edited and post or whatever. So I was like, damn, that was that's kind of crazy. He's he's really interesting to watch his stuff. Go ahead.
SPEAKER_05I was gonna say one more thing on the ghost shit, and this is kind of tech related, video game related. I think one of the funniest tools, other than the spear box, because the spear box is funny as hell. It's just like a radio that picks up really shitty connections. They're like, they're saying murder, and I'm like, no, that's a radio talk show fucking 20 counties away that you're picking up. But the other one that really gets me, and I I want to know, I want to actually I wish there was an interview with someone from um Microsoft over this. They like to use connect cameras to to m map out if like a if an apparition comes through, because they'll like you know how they'll like pick up a body and like make the lines and shit. People will use connects alongside like another camera equipment so to capture ghosts. And I'm like, imagine you're the connect creator. Yeah, the connect itself, and you're like, oh dude, this is gonna revolutionize video games. Fast forward 20 years later, nobody uses games. Yeah, it's for ghost adventures.
SPEAKER_02That's crazy. I didn't I didn't even know, are they still making those? I didn't know things.
SPEAKER_05Not at all, but like these are like some amateur ghost hunters are like, alright guys, we're gonna get our equipment. First off, though, let's go to Goodwill and see how many connects we can get. Because there's guaranteed to be connects out of Goodwill. There's no way. I just did that was funny. Yeah, I think that's it.
SPEAKER_01You can get them twenty dollars, use it some places. Like they are absolutely not being manufactured anymore.
SPEAKER_05No, there's no way.
SPEAKER_01No.
SPEAKER_05But they're being utilized with those ghost hunters, so whoever invented it, I hope your legacy lives on in some way.
SPEAKER_01I'm the Kinect camera, this is one of those things where I'm like, you know what, if not for licensing and exclusivity, this would be like an amazing come up for the inventor.
SPEAKER_05Oh, for sure.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, right. This would be one of those moments where it's like, I'm gonna keep making the same thing. It's gonna be the same thing. I'm just fucking changing the packaging and the commercials.
SPEAKER_02I I honestly am surprised that that they haven't done that. Like I feel like that was such a s it uh it was implemented in a s what I would say is just a strange way because I felt like for a little while Xbox like only leaned into that. Like it was like they like had invested in it so heavily that they were just like determined to make it like viable. So it just felt like it was an everything. But then it just fell off the face of the earth because they it was like they just gave up on it. Probably because it wasn't profitable and it was also expensive as fuck. Yeah, but like I feel like it was a a a strong enough kind of I would say even like a sort of I don't want to say a leap maybe, but like a a jump in technology to a degree where I felt like damn, like that's kind of impressive. And I'm s I'm surprised that we haven't seen that in other technologies, or maybe we have, and I just don't recognize it for what it is.
SPEAKER_01It was a direct lead into virtual reality gaming.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. That makes sense.
SPEAKER_05It's like a niche thing to anyone.
SPEAKER_01It it directly involved evolved into that because remember, a lot of the early, early virtual VR headsets for gaming had those ca those cameras slash tracking things to keep track of you. It was a direct step in evolution to the next thing.
SPEAKER_05And then it also had a shitty mic that you couldn't fucking turn off that everyone had running. Yeah. So you'd be playing Call of Duty lobbies and you hear some fucking guy that sounded a mile away because his Kinect camera was picking up his mic. Instead of his blue instead of his turtle beaches.
SPEAKER_02I I wish, I wish, and this is a Cameron thing, but I wish that VR had really truly fulfilled its promise of what anime had made it seem like it was gonna be.
SPEAKER_05Like you've got your helmet and you're in a fucking world and you're Oh, I was yeah, I Ready Player One's a good example because Yeah, yeah, exactly. Like, if you made a game, okay, I always talk about this in my head. I don't talk about it a lot a lot. But Fortnite is Ready Player One. You what's it called?
SPEAKER_01We've had this conversation before. You and I have.
SPEAKER_05If you can somehow get all those worlds, everything together into a VR world like they talked about and in the movie Ready Player One and the book, where you could just go to planets that are different themes and shit in VR. Holy fuck people want to leave their houses.
SPEAKER_01Fortnite is basically the ready like the ready player one game that what they're describing is basically open world fortnight.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01It's open world Fortnite with like a Kingdom Hearts structure where every property gets its own like little world or thing or pocket. Yeah. But it's open world Fortnite plus Kingdom Hearts. That is what Ready Player One fucking is. That's what a lot of these fucking what's it called? VR fantasy game, like dot hack, same shit. Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_02God, I love that.
SPEAKER_01Sword Art Online, like same shit. That's another one.
SPEAKER_02I I want like that, and that's what I meant by like those kind of like animes from back in the day. Like dot hack is literally one of them I'm referencing. Like the concept of you put your helmet on and you have like you know, you don't see like the the light coming in from like around your glasses that fucks up with your immersion and shit like that. It's literally like a full like helmet thing, and you're like completely immersed in the space. And I don't one, I don't think that's ever gonna happen, unfortunately.
SPEAKER_01But I don't think the human I don't think we I don't think we are the based on how we're dealing with social media and shit like that. I don't think we as institutions are ready for that shit.
SPEAKER_02You're right, you're because a perfect example of that is fucking VRChat. Like if you go on VRChat, that that game has the potential, and it and it is to a degree, like really, really great, right? And and but it has been swarmed by stop, we all know.
SPEAKER_01There's no way stop, just stop right there. Look, listener, listener, listener. I know you know, if you are listening to this podcast, exactly the kind of person Cameron was about to describe, and you know, there is no way to describe those people that is like charitable in a way that will allow this con this podcast to continue recording.
SPEAKER_02I mean, just go and watch any fucking video about VR chat, and like there's literally like the I mean it's just it's it's as nice as I can put it, introverts that are so insular to a degree where they have their own. Safe spaces get too safe. Yeah, like you can't like the uh well Connor, were you the guy that was or were you the one that was showing me the guy who like trolls people like that?
SPEAKER_05Oh okay, hold on. Proximity chat does not troll people, proximity chat just engages in these people and does exactly what they do, and he's just not welcomed into their world.
SPEAKER_02I remember like there was a distinct one where like there's there's like some furry folks, which is a good again, that's fine. Uh, but like he goes up to one of them and like in their profile they have all this information about themselves, and he's literally referencing that information, and they're like, How'd you get that information? How did you get that how did you get you're harassing me, you're harassing me, and then like their their their boyfriend or whatever shows up and they're like, Hey man, I need you to just look, I I'm I'm hers, okay, and I need you to not be that, so get out of here. And like it's always just like some person that just like thinks they have all this authority and stuff like that. And it's just like, like you said, when when safe spaces become too safe where it's like almost to a degree of being so walled off from the rest of reality that there's just like I don't know, it's like I feel like VR chat could be that like right at that alley of like ready player one, but just people can't just be fucking normal and just hang out.
SPEAKER_01No, yeah, anonymity unlocks the weirdest shit in people. Right. Yeah, that's true.
SPEAKER_05I was gonna say, I think they take okay. I'm all for it. You have your thing, you have your thing, safe space. I get it. You have your kinks, you have your interests, do you boo. Unless it's harmful, do you. I don't care. Alright, you're not hurting me, I don't care, you're not hurting others, I don't care.
SPEAKER_01I get the feeling. There has to be something that's gonna make me want to be like these aren't conversations These, yeah.
SPEAKER_05Disclaimer this is from me, these guys aren't involved. There needs to be some sort of structure and rules to your safe space, dude. Safe space doesn't give you a reason. To be a fucking dickhead and be a fucking whatever you think you are. If you think you're a griffin or whatever, dude. Cool. Like do your thing.
SPEAKER_01Whatever. But it doesn't matter. Safe spaces also need safe spaces need to do some kind of self-policing. The keep the like keep look, we we're all here for keep Portland weird, but there's a line between weird and fucking insane type shit. Right. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Good example. Proximity chat videos, go take a look at some of the people that are. Yeah, it's it's like a perfect example.
SPEAKER_02And maybe it's like maybe there's like maybe we're just seeing those highlights and not everyone is like that. And that's a if that's the case, probably true. That's that's that is likely the case. He's he's probably specifically trying to I almost said hunt, you almost said hard.
SPEAKER_01He knows the dark he don't he knows the dark corners of VR chat to go to to get exactly what he's looking for.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. I just think like if you can just find a cool social space because like that's the thing, is like I have watched videos of just the different worlds and stuff like that that people make, and like everyone makes an avatar out of everything, and they're they make like these crazy amalgamations out of multiple different avatars, and like it's just it's a wild, but then it just become just like a creepy sex dungeon for people to just freak off and just do stuff in the dark corners of the internet together. And that's okay, as long as you're not hurting anybody, that's totally fine.
SPEAKER_01At the end of the day, for that specifically, I blame Tumblr getting rid of Adult Tumblr. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Like, once that happened, that community, like, they they had to I hate to use this analogy, but once the light got shown and that shit got banned there, which it should have never been banned, they they scattered like cockroaches everywhere. And now we have these little pockets of like tumbler, like fucking tumbler freaks all over our internet where we don't expect to find them. Like you can you can trip down the wrong rabbit hole on Twitter, on like Twitter, TikTok, whatever. Trip down the wrong rabbit hole, and you're in some tumbler freak fetish town that you didn't you were not aware that it existed in your part of the internet.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, Tumblr, Tumblr was a very interesting space for the time that it was available. Like the the the multi-layered like gif obsession of just like everyone's favorite shows and just like the hot boys just being like in gif format, you know, just like just like it just repeats that same shit over and over again.
SPEAKER_01You know, my favorite is the having entirely entire conversations and hashtags underneath the posts. That that is good, yep. Well, chef's kiss. I love that shit. There truly was some like degenerate shit.
SPEAKER_05Like one of my bands, actually, the band on my shirt, Ghost, they had a tumbler, and then there's the subtumblers of like each member. And since each member is like anonymous, they're like named after like elements and shit. Cool. There was the keyboardist, I can't remember his name. Maybe it was water. Or no, that was the basis, whatever. He had his own, like obviously fan made fan made like tumbler, like that sexualized the shit out of this guy. Like, just like we love the the sexy bassist water, and it was just like weird posts after weird post. Like, do you think water thinks about um Papa, who the lead singer is? They're like, Do you think they think about each other when they're in the shower? And I'm like, Alright, man, I think I'm like in a weird spot on Tumblr. I think I need to go outside. How is that?
SPEAKER_01Wait, wait, wait. You guys don't think about me when you're in the shower?
SPEAKER_02I mean, I do, but only like once a week, you know. All right. I'm just making sure we're all on Twitter. I don't go on Tumblr and start posting about it on my fanfic ideas. That's a thing too.
SPEAKER_05That's one more thing, and I'll drop it. You don't have to say or do everything that's on your mind um when you're on the internet. And actually, that kind of would be good for later. So I'll bring it up later. Never mind. Oh yeah. Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_01Um it's gonna be a long one because we have that tail end conversation that we're gonna.
SPEAKER_02Oh shit. I forgot. We watched the whole documentary. I have not forgot. I mean, I didn't forget, forget, but like in the present moment I definitely forgot. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05So yeah. We can move around along, though. Um Gamescon's happening, guys. Yeah. I caught some um some stuff while I was at work because it's in Germany? Yeah. Somewhere? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Cologne, if I remember correctly. Right.
SPEAKER_05So it's in a different time zone. So the opening night happened like 1 p.m. our time um in America, the East Coast. So I only caught a glimpse because I was working and I had it on mute, but I had a couple games and stuff and news and announcements that I wrote down. Um, and I think you guys had some stuff to talk about.
SPEAKER_04I have very low. I think it was mainly just curious.
SPEAKER_02I was mainly just curious from my side, like what if any, what games from the announced stuff, and I know that there was a lot, but like was there anything that really stuck out to you guys like any in particular?
SPEAKER_05I have one like super uh big one that I've been watching for a while. Yeah, you do. Thanks. Um Exodus, which is um a sci-fi role-playing game that's coming out. Um it's based off of a book, I'm pretty sure. And it's being developed by Bioware, uh former Bioware developers, so like Mass Effect people. So you know you know what they're doing. Um the thing that stood out to me in the trailer is there's this like a being that like hangs out in your like main base, I think. He's just like an octopus man in like a space suit. And he looks fucking cool as hell. And I've been waiting for this game for a while. And they had an extended uh little trailer or a new trailer, not extended, a new trailer that kind of went into what's going on. Um It looks good. And I think having like I do like having it has like source material to kind of work off of, uh being the book and all that. Right. Um so they're able to like make it into reimagine it, not reimagine, but make it into its own thing and have like a sorry go ahead.
SPEAKER_02You good I was just wondering if they have the uh author from the book like helping to guide the story to sort of be like a sort of a like a lore master of sorts.
SPEAKER_05I want to say he's probably I can't remember what his name is. Um I remember they had a couple like deep dive like live streams about it uh I want to say like a year ago.
SPEAKER_02It says here that he serves as a creative consultant and writer for the game's expanded universe. There you go. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Thank God because Yeah. Um and I think they got like they got a pretty big voice actor in there, I'm pretty sure. Oh, they did. Matthew McConaughey's in it. There you go. Whoa, wow. Yeah. Matthew? Little Matthew getting in there. Um he's just gonna be like, alright, alright. Hey, we can't do that right now. I get it. Alright.
SPEAKER_02Oh, alright, god.
SPEAKER_05You're gonna be able to do that.
SPEAKER_02Sorry, chill science adventure of all time.
SPEAKER_05I like chul. Chill, dude. Chill cool.
SPEAKER_02Well, what about you, Jelani? Did you have any anything from Gamescom that kind of stood out to you?
SPEAKER_01Um that Ananta What's it called? Yeah, I that's there's two things three things I specifically wanted to talk about. Ananta, that Gatch, I the intro I kicked me right in the what's it called, older weeb? Like, I the sense of humor, the like the way they presented the story and the characters. I'm like, this is the kind of action comedy anime I fucking love. And yeah, it looked fun. It looks fun as shit. The care especially the intro is like, hey, do you have any regrets? I haven't paid off my mortgage. Like amount on his hand. Yeah. And they're all it's beautiful. And then the Silent Hill Townfall it was it looks really interesting, and it's very upsetting that I am such a little bitch and I will not be able to play this game for the life of how about we play it together with the three of us. That'd be fun.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, here's the thing. You can just watch me play. Okay. Because you know I'll play it.
SPEAKER_01I'm very interested in Silent Hill with an African with a black protagonist. It's dope. But I'm also not a not a silent I I'm not I uh I scream like I scream like bitch, and I'm proud of it.
SPEAKER_05Silent Hill's different in a scary way because it's like more relatable, because like the first like couple of them like really dealt with like mental like underlying issues. Like it yeah, it was like a scary um you know, scary shit was happening, but like the stuff that like the monsters and all that were like representations of like demons in people's like heads, and so they formulated them into like actual monsters. And that like I love Resident Evil, don't get me wrong, but like having a game where your psyche makes monsters like an actual thing you have to battle is fucking cool, so like I love that.
SPEAKER_01Um, yeah, the confirmed cool cat stream for Silent Hill Townfalls.
SPEAKER_05Hell yeah, I'm super down for that. No, not cool. Really?
SPEAKER_02I'm honestly surprised they release rate at some of the another game that uh was announced like came out like two days later. What was that game?
SPEAKER_05Oh no, it was something else. Oh the Silent Hill guys, I think I was talking about it earlier, are trying to like make up for lost time because they're uh Right, yeah. Because Resident Evil's been dominating that that uh survival curve on the that's a good point.
SPEAKER_02I didn't even think about the fact that they're basically complete competitors.
SPEAKER_01Yep. If you go back in time, it was Resident Evil V Silent Hell for a hot minute.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, Capcom vs Konami, because Konami owned Silent Hill. Yeah. So and they and Konami in general took a tumble and like yeah, they're like profitable, but they're like making mobile games that they're being profited. Yeah, I mean and then they got rid of Toshima that really pissed a lot of motherfuckers off. But that was uh including myself.
SPEAKER_01Konami, what's it called? Konami is but they're the kings of self-inflicted failure. Like they had every opportunity to continue being successful like Bandai Namco had. Like Nat Bando Namco has remained successful by listening to and delivering what their fans want in their respective series is whatever, what have you. Konami was just like, yo, is this a 9mm hanggun? I wonder how it feels on my balls.
SPEAKER_00And then boom, boom, boom, boom, boom.
SPEAKER_02I mean, like all these different games out there that I would say are like widely accepted as being some of the best, like Witcher 3, Baldur's Gate 3, like those are games that took what fans wanted and really just tried to develop uh deliver, excuse me, a really, really, really solid gaming experience. And lo and behold, because of the doing that, they became like wildly popular games. And like I don't like the whole like profit chasing thing is like is only gonna take you so far because at a certain point that just makes me feel like I'm another like uh I'm just a sheep like made out of money for you, for you to just like send to slaughter, you know?
SPEAKER_01Like I don't know. I have one last thing from Gamescom I wanted to I want us all to like acknowledge and that's the fact that Crimson Desert just dropped six months ago. Crimson Desert just released six months ago, and they had to release an update that, from my understanding, and I did a little reading before we started recording, basically redesigns the what's it called, main character Cliff from a story and character point of view. Like actually making him into like a character and adding like cutscene. I think it's wild that what's it called? It's only six months before we get the definitive edition store. Like this is like what's it called? As if Persona 5 Royale released six months after Persona 5. Yes, in this case it would be free, so that's fine.
SPEAKER_02Right. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01But at the same time, only six yo, tell me.
SPEAKER_02It just shows that the game wasn't ready. It wasn't ready at all. That's all it was. You pushed it out the door when it wasn't a full product, and now like you you want people's attention back, so you're doing like a second release of Swords calling it Crimson Desert Enhanced. There's a fucking reason that Connor returned it.
SPEAKER_05I was about to say I'm gonna talk about this because I played maybe like enough. Well, apparently I played enough that I could return it. Um at least two hours. You're right. Cliff, the guy, the main guy, apparently there's other people. I don't fucking know. But Cliff, dear God, the white wall in my room has more fucking expression than that guy does. And I get I get it to a sense because Pearl Abyss is the people who developed it, are the Black Desert people. This is like new territory in a way, right? A single player game suddenly making it um I get that they were trying to do what they're trying to do, and like it sounded cool on paper, and it looked cool, and it looked, you know, the graphics look great, like everything, whatever. Yeah. Dear God, I can't play through a world where I don't know what the fuck is happening because there's so much shit going on, and then your character's just like hey. Just along for the rest. Okay. It's just like how it's kind of like for whatever reason I can't play um or I haven't really been able to play Horizon Zero Dawn. Like everyone likes that game. I don't like the character. I think she's fucking boring as hell. Aloy, whatever the fuck her name is. Aloy, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Dude, I don't want to play a game. I love how Connor has Connor hates Aloy. One of like one of Incel, the Incel Dub's least favorite character. Connor's over here. I don't give a fuck about how she looks. She's just fucking boring. She's boring.
SPEAKER_05Right. How am I gonna play a single player game where I don't like playing as the person, especially if I have to look at them and listen to them all the time? Like, that's annoying to me. Like, I get like other characters like um who's the fucking guy in like Resident Evil, the the Which one of them, Chris Redfull Redfield or the other one? The dad who like looks for the baby and and village and oh that's the Ethan Ethan Hunt, yeah, right? Ethan Hunt? Yeah, whatever. That guy doesn't really say much, and when he does say stuff, it's not like profound, which is fine. But like he's a cool character because I don't have to like I don't know, listen to his ass the whole time. He's like these other games.
SPEAKER_01From what I've seen, once again, I am baby bitch. I watch playthroughs of Resident Evil games, but from my understanding of Ethan, he is still like a character. Like you understand it like where he's coming from, and like from my understanding, like they actually give him reason to be a bit quiet because this nigga's traumatized as fuck. Like Ethan is traumatized, but also like kill me multiple times.
SPEAKER_05But also, there's other characters in the world that he's in that like fucking take the game on its back and are like, we got this shit. Hold up, Ethan, go to the case. Yeah, like they're carrying it, which is fine. But like in Crimson Desert, um Cliff is like the guy, and he's like the fucking whatever, whatever they are.
SPEAKER_02He's just like an everyman. He's he's like the he's it's kind of like uh like Link in Legend of Zelda, where like he just doesn't really speak all that much. And like obviously Lick is a better character. We know this. But like at the same time, like it I think that's part of the reason why they used him in the way that they used him is like I think you're supposed to be it's it's supposed to be a step in for you as the player, right? No, yeah, for sure. That's why like a vessel. Yeah, exactly. It's not like it I don't think that they were initially trying to like m have him be this big personality, and I think they probably saw that a lot of people were pissed about it because I don't know, it's just like in a single player game that's so like heavily story driven, you gotta like you're saying, Connor, like you have to have some sort of attachment to the protagonist. Like, I think a big thing about like Legend of Zelda and stuff like that is like that has its own vibe in the world where it kind of makes up for the fact that the main character doesn't talk. Um talks, you don't understand. He's got a voice, he just doesn't use it. Um but yeah, I don't I I feel like there's just something about the Legend of Zelda games and the worlds that each of those games occupy where it it kind of lends to that um where he doesn't speak and he's he is kind of just like the the the vessel for the player.
SPEAKER_01Link is the man of action Cliff wishes he could be.
SPEAKER_02Exactly. I agree with that. Especially with the newer games, because he's fucking like doing fucking sick skate tricks on his team shit.
SPEAKER_01Like LinkedIn building shit with fucking ancient technology.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Like Link has a okay, this is what you want done. Alright, this is what needs to be done, and then he just walks off. Whereas Cliff gives the feeling of this is what you want done, this is alright, cool. I'll see how I'll see if I can get that done. Let's go. There's it's two very different like energies of nod, walk, execute, then alright, cool. Let's go get it done. Yes, sir. Work, work.
SPEAKER_02Uh all right. Uh Cameron, did you have any? Uh oh yeah, let me bring up my little list here. Um, obviously, the big one for me, and we already knew about this game, but Final Fantasy VII Revelation, super fucking excited. We got to see some of the summons. That's super exciting for me. There's also some new summon that wasn't in the original, so that's kind of be cool to see what that storyline's gonna be like. Um, I was also excited for Ion 2.
SPEAKER_01And I know that the the trailer didn't do like a lot in terms of this game's name comes out. All three of us go, oh yeah, Ion 2. Hype for that. So excited. Ion 1, big part of all of our what's it called, youth. Yeah, so hype.
SPEAKER_02I I want to play it. I'm excited. It's fucking September hits. I'm I'm I'm ready for that shit. I'm because like like you just said, like I my teenage years were making new characters on that game over and over and over again, trying to decide if I want to be a uh fucking angel or a demon person that has modians or whatever. Cause they had the cool feet with the claws, and I don't know. I had like that game had a really cool like once you hit level 10, you pick your your job or whatever you're gonna do. And like it just had a cool pacing, I I would say, at least at least at that point, but there was definitely like a you know, you get to like 34 and it takes like two weeks to get to 35, and that's that just gets old for me. But I don't know. The I think like you said, we have mentioned it before where like I think Ion's at least the first game's flying gimmick was that, which is it was a gimmick, and it wasn't like ultimately like super um, I would say utilized as well as like as yeah, as much as I would have liked it to have been. But I'm hopeful with the second gimmick. Game that you know, with all the current technology and animation and everything like that, and what we can do with games now, like I'm hoping that there's going to be some cooler shit that you can do with it.
SPEAKER_01And one would hope in big 2026, with all the different games we've had with different flying mechanics, one hopes Ion would be like, Oh, oh, maybe the way we did it back then sucks. Let's let's let's look at some of these other examples of how this could work.
SPEAKER_02Well, I definitely feel like they could like introduce it even in just like into the combat a little bit. Like it I don't have to like fly fly, but you can even just like make some wings appear like while you're doing like your animations and stuff like that. Make it feel part of your character, because it felt it felt like such a difference between like a jarring kind of difference between combat on the ground and then you're suddenly flying everywhere, but it's like you're only really gliding and it's only for a few seconds at a time. So I definitely I think they could do a lot more. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Even even if they just do something like where they steal PAL world system, only they omit the PAL where you okay, cool, you can fly, you have a stamina meter, you can do all this other stuff, but you can also engage in combat while flying, as long as you can maintain your stamina to stay in the air.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I think that'd be really cool. Especially if you're like an archer or something like that. Like, why would you be on the ground if you have wings? Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Fucking flying range. Yeah, that'd be sick. I don't know how they'd implement it in any way.
SPEAKER_01And that they'd have to compensate like what's it called? Melee. You would have all aerial rushdown techniques would be like skills that would be cool. Fucking off.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. So we'll see what happens with that. That should be releasing, I think, in a couple weeks, uh, because I think it's supposed to be September.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, like beta, it's like 17th or something. Oh, beta. I think there's a playtest going on. I think I've uh put in a request for play tests. Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_02It launches globally on Steam. October 5th.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. Excuse me. There's like an open beta or no or like a beta window. Yeah. And like I said, you can also uh uh get in request access to the playtests if it's going on, I think.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I might take a look at that because that'd be that'd be fun. Though I might just wait till October and just let it surprise me. I don't know. Um the other big thing I think was cool uh was the Witcher 3 free update. Yeah, here's the difference between that and Crimson Desert. One happened 11 years ago. Crimson Desert.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, I do think that's funny that that uh CD was like, yo, um, y'all forgot about the Witcher. Here you go. Here you go. I know we're working on four, but we're gonna redo th the third one, and we're gonna add a new DLC on top of their already like legendary DLC that they have in that one already.
SPEAKER_02I think that's really, really cool. I I I like that a game that is that old is not being completely forgotten. They're still developing for it. Like I think that's a really great thing. Um I think the other thing I was gonna mention in in terms of Gamescom was just the sheer amount of games that felt like they were being made by indie companies, which is which is fine. I'm all for indie companies. But it felt like the indie companies were just chasing after making copies of AAA titles. And there were like there were so many games that were shown on that stage that just felt like a carbon copy of something that I've already seen ten times at this point. And like I I get like even Ananta is like that, like it's just the newest Genshin Impact, like I understand, but like at least it feels like Ananta is doing something to like change it up. They're really adding a lot of personality and and fun and comedy and stuff like that into what already looks like a pretty good game. But like there's other stuff like Project Zeta, for example, that just seems like I don't know if you guys watched the trailer for that one, but that one just seems like another just hero shooter, but melee format. Um and like none of the designs for me were strong enough to make me be like, oh shit, that looks really sick. It just they just showed a bunch of just like B rated characters having a little battle together. Dude, like one of the guys literally looked just like a fucking like a Hanzo ripoff from Overwatch. And I'm just I'm maybe and I was watching Tim the Tatman when uh because he was doing like a watch party, and his whole like this is something that he mentioned, and you know, agree with it or whatever, but it's basically just like he was like, are all of the devs just taking off because of Grand Theft Auto 6 coming out this year?
SPEAKER_05I mean is everybody just taking a year off I'm not gonna really get into it, but once that game's out, I don't think anybody's gonna give a fuck about a majority, I shouldn't say everybody, a majority of the video game um community is gonna be locked in. Let's just say yeah. Um I think the problem with like any hero, shooter, uh whatever arena, MOBA bullshit.
SPEAKER_01You can't do anything new with them because everything's yeah, it's been done.
SPEAKER_05So it's like it's almost we're almost at the point. It's like we remember we went through all this, like as a video game, like in general. MOBAs were a thing, right? League of Legends did it right, Dota 2 did it right, those are kind of the heavy hitters that are still around. Anyone that tried to like do it after that failed, or they just don't exist anymore. Then you got Battle Royale, right? PUBG came out, was the big one that came out, then Fortnite uh took took note, possibly stole uh some stuff, and then Call of Duty. Those are like the three fucking or Apex Legends, too. I'll even throw Apex in there.
SPEAKER_02Apex because you better put some respect on that game.
SPEAKER_01I'm just saying, I will resent Apex till the day I die because Apex did one thing that a lot of people will never forgive it for. Apex took away Titanfall 3. Apex killed Titanfall. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05But here's the thing. So but this is what this is just uh a product of the time, right? They capitalized on BR, um the BR scene, and then you had hero shooters, and the only hero shooters that really are around now are what? Overwatch 2 barely. Right. They kind of dug themselves out.
SPEAKER_04It's just Overwatch now, I forgot.
SPEAKER_05Sorry. And then Marvel Rivals, just because it's Marvel and that's a hot cake right now, you know what I mean?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, Marvel Rivals is so full of ass that game. It would take forever for that game to die. Just anytime I watch a clip of my of what's it called Marvel Rivals, my screen is just filled with thick ass booty butt cheeks.
SPEAKER_05They know what they're doing.
SPEAKER_02Especially during the summer events, and they've had two of them already. So there's just like there's just like bikinis everywhere. There's even dude ass everywhere, too. No, no, no.
SPEAKER_01And that's another thing I've noticed that I respect the fuck out of. It's ass. It's thick ass. I I never said I didn't say what gender or sex the ass belonged to. All I'm saying is all the ass in that game is thick as fuck, and they know it.
SPEAKER_02They know it.
SPEAKER_01So that game ain't never gonna die as long as they keep up that character design. What are you gonna say, Connor?
SPEAKER_05So I was saying, so hero shooters came and went, and so now we're in the um extraction shooter um timeline, right? Yeah. So it's just you can't do anything that already hasn't been done because we're running out of innovative ideas. We're just rehashing shit that either happened already or it's happening now. Yeah. So it's hard to you know, it's hard to make I feel bad for people that are making games because they're like, oh, you know, we took inspiration from such and such, because then after you say that, it's just gonna be like, well, look like you just copied that um to the T, so why would I play your fucking game if I can play this? You know, stubborn already.
SPEAKER_01I feel like there's this is a bit of one of those the little column A, column B things. Like going into the future and even coming from the past, there's there's I hate to use this Bible quote, but I use it all the time. There's nothing new under the sun. Everything we've done is a rehash of something that has been done in the past.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01My biggest complaint is where profitability interacts with creative freedom. Everything we do will also be the nature of revision because like what we have experienced in our past inspires what we create for the future. That's just the way the hum human nature works. It's when what's it called? It's when that phenomena becomes heavily monetized that we get into situations where we are now, where in a past more open market that wasn't so focused on wringing every dollar out of every game, you're allowed to experiment more with how you combined and mixed your inspiration. Now, because there's so many suits and billionaires and everything involved, and everything has to be monetized, there's a specific number of ingredients that make the most money, and if you try to use any other ingredients, you're not gonna make as much money. And once again, not only if this is something that economists and like capitalists and gamers have in common, both groups will optimize the fun out of the the fuck out of shit.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, for sure.
SPEAKER_01Will optimize the fun right the fuck out of shit, and that's where we are with game development now. Is like you have like maybe six ingredients that you can use to make a game and you will get funding, or it will be perceived as a possible success. If you try to go if in order to get funding, you need three ingredients. If you want to add a mystery ingredient that's on the not on the list, you will have to pay the tax of using four of those six ingredients to make your game. So that fifth ingredient you want to include that's off of your dome, out of your chest, it's that much more diluted because we need because that's new, that's unproven. We don't know if that's profitable. In order for us to include that, you need more profitable.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. Yeah. Just because risk in their mind is loss of revenue, like you said. So it's just like, why would we fucking even take a chance, even if it was like a good idea, like you know, because they're not always good ideas. That's that's the bottom line when they are a good idea.
SPEAKER_02It makes me think of High Guard, where like they were actually trying seemingly to do something very unique. And I know that I know it wasn't like the best game when it came out, but at least they were trying something new and different. And then and then as soon as everyone like saw that it's not like the most crazy good game out there, everybody just shit on it until it died. It literally died because of that exact thing, exact same thing you're talking about, where the investors weren't willing to risk it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that's true. Yeah, the problem way more exposure than it should have had. Negative. Right. If it released as some small, what's it called? Even if it re even if it it's that spot it got for its announcement. If it had got if it had had an announcement that was even one decibel quieter, that game might still be alive right now. It is how Go ahead.
SPEAKER_05I was I think it's it was a matter of placement of when they announced it and the hype prior to announcing. Like I can like remember Keeley like just going in on like, you will not believe what we have for the end of the of the game awards. It will blow your mind, and I'm like, oh shit. What is he just gonna pay to say that shit? That's all that's right. But like that's crazy because as soon as that came out, the majority of the reactions were why the fuck is that thing.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, what is going on? Because that's the thing. If it had just been if it had just been dropped in with like this Gamescom announcements, where it's just like there's uh other games that are dime a dozen, like you said, it would not be dead today. And so yeah, I think you're absolutely right. I think absolutely like him having dropped it and then making the decision to have someone at his level drop it at the very end of the entire entirety of the announcements, like they shot themselves in the heart. Like it's crazy.
SPEAKER_01They announced it like a brand new iPhone and it re it released and everybody found it was a pager.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_02I think that's also like a big thing with IPs in general today. Like, I don't I I don't think that Star Wars in and of itself like just to use that as an example, like it's just space nights in and magic. Like that's that's all it really like boils down to, right? And so like I feel like when we're there's nothing new under the sun of the biggest Star Wars fans out there. I'm just saying, like, it's not like the most like challenging idea, I would say, but it's so unique in the way that all the characters and the designs and all that kind of stuff are.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, the characters that they introduce here.
SPEAKER_02And I feel like they're we're not getting anything new like Star Wars or Star Trek or anything like that anymore, because of that same like fear of like will this IP be able to survive against the swarm of other high-level IPs out here? And should we just make it part of that? You know, like I don't know. Like the that new Robin Hood movie that's coming out that's not called Robin Hood, but it's Robin Hood, right? I forget what the fuck it's called Robin. I don't know about that one. So it's basically some new Robin Hood movie, but they like the marketing changed it at the last minute because it sounds like they're not like confident calling it Robin Hood or something.
SPEAKER_01I don't know exactly what it was, but it was just I don't tr like after what they did to Animal Farm, any series that has strong anti-capitalist what's it called, backing like Robin Hood, I genuinely don't trust them to make what may be able to hold themselves truth to account. I agree yeah. I agree with you. If you look at what Robin Hood was, it's like it it is a textbook case of like what's it called? It's an anti-cap, it's kind of anti-capitalist, it's anti-nepotism. Like, there's a whole lot of things that Robin Hood stands for that if we let the suits ride it, we're gonna end up with a brand new Animal Farm movie.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, dude. I was dude, I was so excited when I saw the announcement that an Animal Farm movie was coming out, because I loved that book when I was in high school. Like, it was actually one of the few books that I actually in high school, because I fucking hated all the rest of them, like Great Gatsby and shit. That shit was boring as fuck. But then like Animal Farm was like it was just a cool concept of just like showing the natural devolvement of a like a society of even if you use something like animals to show like authoritarianism and cap like anti-capitalism and anti-war and all that kind of shit. Like it was such a good book, and then they went and just like Hollywoodized the fuck out of it, and it's like you're literally spitting on the author's fucking grave, yeah, doing that shit. Like you're literally spitting on his fucking grave.
SPEAKER_01Because the writer, because whoever paid for that mo movie, if the movie were made to the actual inspiration, they would be paying for a movie that calls them an asshole. And when you have an ego that big, you refuse to do so. You would rather change the material than admit that I'm an that you're an asshole.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it's so frustrating. That that is like one of the few for me, like pieces of media that I'm just like, you don't fucking touch it. Like just just stick with the script. Like touching it in any way is bastardizing it because of the the plot and the story that it's trying to tell and like the themes behind it. Like, don't fucking touch it. Anyway, I get heated about that. Sorry.
SPEAKER_01No, you're good. Don't fucking touch it. We're an hour and like 47 or so minutes in. No, hour and a half coming up. Minutes in. Yeah, let's do it. And we're gonna do that. Are we doing it? Let's do it. Don't fucking touch them kids.
SPEAKER_05Here we go. Alright. Folks, we're doing a deep dive. Oh deep dive, I say. Spoiler, crazy. If you did your homework like I told you to last time. Yeah, did you? Um did you do it?
SPEAKER_01I don't think we're grading hard.
SPEAKER_05There is no curb on this exam. Even though like me and Cameron just watched it last night. But they don't have to know that. They don't have to know that. Um we're talking about the uh EDP 445 documentary by Mike Clum. Mike Clum? Mike Clum.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, Mike Mike Clum.
SPEAKER_05Mike Clum on YouTube. It is a almost two-hour ride, folks.
SPEAKER_02Um I think we should probably have to jump maybe.
SPEAKER_05I was gonna I was gonna um two things. Trigger warning. Very triggered warning conversation about to happen. Um so if you want to fast forward to the Steamy Steam reviews, please do. Do your thing. Um we're gonna be covering mentions of pedophilia.
SPEAKER_01Um we're gonna be mention uh mentions of scatophilia. We're going to be what's it called, we're gonna be discussing homophobia and what's it called um aggressive and what's it called? Discussions of sex uh of uh sexual uh sexually aggressive matter, I think we're gonna talk about it. It's gonna get fucking kinda rapey. It's that's yeah.
SPEAKER_02Like sexual violence too, I would say.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. It was a lot I'll I'll preface this. It was a lot more intense to watch, and I watch a lot of weird shit on YouTube, like body cam, murder, bullshit. I'm I'm pretty sure they know. Um I watch a lot of like these like discussions about like how they you know track down this serial killer or wherever, you know.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, people are we're millennials, we we unfortunately we've seen some shit. Well it's like one dude, one glass, two girls, one cup, we're all traumatized, we small Panalympics. Like yo.
SPEAKER_05We were here during more?
SPEAKER_01Yes. We've all seen some truly fucked shit. But on that note, EDP still was a fucking experience.
SPEAKER_05It it shook me for a good couple hours. Like when I when you guys got off, um normally when I go to bed, I throw on my my lo-fi music and dim the lights. I had it going for a little bit. My mind was like going, like racing. So I put on some sleepy video game play playthrough. So a guy was talking to me about a game he was playing because I didn't want to be alone.
SPEAKER_04Oh Connor.
SPEAKER_05It was like a I like couldn't in a bad way, like I was just like you get a peek into a place. This dude dead man. Yeah. This dude is still around. Yep. After what we watched and what he said.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05What he was he was Unapologetic.
SPEAKER_04Unapologetic then. Psychopath.
SPEAKER_01Brazen insanity. Like the fact that he has no remorse whatsoever about any of the shit he did. He literally just had, yeah, I was showing up the like I was showing up to meet a 13-year-old. Yeah, I was and to get a cupcake. I was trying to have sex, yeah.
SPEAKER_02I was trying to have sex. Honestly, I think he was putting up a big front there. I like when he's getting like heart like harsh like that by fucking Chris Hansen. I think he's trying to put on a facade of like, I don't care. Like, I don't fucking care. I think that dude is scared that he is gonna get well, he probably can't say it on Twitch, but he's gonna get hurt out there by get on the live in a video game.
SPEAKER_01So he didn't lie. Look, look, look, he's dying. Let's cover that from basically the start. This nigga has end stage kidney failure. He is one miss dialysis. His appointment away from death. He is at the stage of kidney failure where doctors, what's it called? Estimate around a five-year-life expectancy. Not a recovery. There is no recovery. It is just a matter of how long you die when you're at the stage he is. Five years, and he was diagnosed four years ago. This thing is dying.
SPEAKER_05It's a ticking time bomb.
SPEAKER_01Like me, I said this last night, and Cameron agreed with me. This is a last hurrah. This is him trying, like, this is him trying to cement a legacy and be remembered. Because like he's like, if you actually watch the documentary, you know he is in he is living in squalor, dying, dying in an empty room. With no furniture but a what a cum stained bed. Like that is what's gonna be. That is why he agreed to this. But like it's going it's going to be the last thing people see or hear of him because when he stops breathing, he is at a point so low right now, when he finally does stop breathing, none of us might ever hear about it. That is where he's at.
SPEAKER_05I'm okay with that, honestly.
SPEAKER_03I'm cool.
SPEAKER_02Never hearing about him again unless it's something to do with justice, because apparently he can still be charged up to 2027.
SPEAKER_05So Yeah, which if he makes it to that. Like he is a ticket. Like, I'm glad that my internet algorithm has never brought me to this man because then I would actually have to like the only thing I knew him from was um Gideon doing the thing with Skeeter because I watched another documentary about Gideon and how shitty he is.
SPEAKER_01So the night that was roped into it because we talk about how fucking stupid all the fucking Predator quote unquote predator hunters that inv that interacted or were involved every single fucking time. And Jid like Gideon especially pissed me off. I don't remember the fucking Chud the Builder fan's name. He was stupid, but the way Gideon basically hung that little girl out as a fucking what's it called, carrot on a stick for this nigga is weird. And the fact that Gideon's little partner, I don't Skeet or whatever the fuck that nigga's name is. Skeeter. The fact that he hit the well, we could have done this properly, but then there wouldn't be the same amount of content. And then like chuckle him to himself, yo, I've never wanted to reach through a screen and slap the shit out of a nigga. So and I like honestly, if he's listening and he's on some like, yo, nigga, you're five foot six, I'll put hands on you. My response is like, yeah, and you still deserve to get fucking slapped for that fucking stupid ass tape with that fucking stupid ass fucking giggle at the end.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Bitch ass fucking money grumbbing ass fucking looking like Skeeter from Doug looking ass nigga. Like, what the fuck?
SPEAKER_02I mean, it literally just goes into all of their motivations. It he literally said right there. Like it's so clear as day. It had nothing to do with justice. It had nothing to do with trying to, you know, get someone behind bars who deserves to be there. It was purely about the fact that it's EDP 405. He's the fucking guy that got caught already, the guy that had millions of subscribers, and they're trying to say, How do we get ours? How do we get ours? And that's all it all it's about with them. Like even the the young girl that like worked with them basically said that Jedi and is basically like using her as just like a kind of a a pet or whatever, yeah, to do like his bidding and shit, and like that already is like problematic language, but like it's just yeah, and that was a kind of another thing that I had a kind of an issue with the documentary itself about, which like I'm I'm glad that they're putting this this the face to all of this stuff. I'm I'm glad for that. But at the same time, it also felt like they were using YouTubers, like popular YouTubers, as a sort of like the the moral compass or something like that, instead of using like actual experts. There was like one lady at the end, I think, that was an actual as uh expert at the end.
SPEAKER_01I I'm gonna push back. They chose very specific YouTubers for a reason. They did not they did not choose the YouTubers to be like, oh, and this is a moral paragon. They would not have chosen Chris Chan as a moral. What they did is for a lot of the YouTubers, I'm not saying all of them, I'm a Charlie fan, I like Penguin Zero, but for a lot specifically like Keemstar and Chris Chan, it's like an example of hey, you know this person, you think they're a massive piece of shit, right? And all of us watching are like, ew, Keemstar, ew, Kirst Chan. I want you to know that even those pieces of shit think this piece of shit is fucking disgusting. Just to give you the whole world like EDP is such a disgusting human being that like the weird fucking trolls that none of us like also agree that he's a disgusting f fucking human being. It was more of a like less of a these are moral paragrams and more of a and more of a yo, the nigga you don't like also doesn't like this nigga. Like, I want you to understand how much how unliked this nasty nigga is.
SPEAKER_05That was the thing they said that like he was like the most hated man on YouTube, and I fucking believe it. Like I believe that. And that's a lot that's a bold statement to say, but that's I I fuck with it. That's a hundred percent how I feel about that. After watching that documentary, yeah.
SPEAKER_01His existence enrages me. And like, I like to be a hundred percent honest, I've never felt like when he went through his list of people he likes and the people he doesn't like, and like just like that peek into his brain, like had me feeling like, yo, you say the word nigga a lot for someone who says a whole bunch of anti-black shit. It's based on like the people you like to follow. Like all of them were like toxic manosphere, like toxic manosphere, and a lot of them have said some racist shit before.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, like uh like fucking Andrew Tate, President Trump, we got fucking uh god, who got Mr. Shapiro, Benjamin, Yo Wilgen, like, yo. All these motherfuckers, and it's just like of course you think the way that you do. Of course you do.
SPEAKER_05I don't know. The the main thing I got out of that, uh, other than that EDP's not gay, we got that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, we understood that we got a lot of that, but uh yo, the most homophobic, like yo, yo, you know the jokes are gay, man. The jokes about homophobes being like fucking secretly fucking wishing somebody was balls deep in their ass. What's it called? EDP is the poster boy of that. He doesn't know. I feel like most of his rage and like his homophobia is fueled by the fact that he understands he has ruined his body to the point where he can no longer enjoy gay sex because nobody can reach his anus through the folds.
SPEAKER_00Got him.
SPEAKER_05What I was saying though is that the other thing that really got me that he kept like the what just his demeanor about it was like, oh, I only did that because I was so lonely. Bro. It's not an excuse to be a fucking pedophile fucking dude. Just you could be an awful person, right? I'm not gonna fuck with you, obviously. But if your excuse for being a fucked up person is, well, I'm just lonely and no one wants to have sex with me. Well, yeah, no shit, because you're a piece of shit. Yeah. That doesn't excuse any sort of fucking actions that you did. Oh, you know, I didn't like actually have sex with her, but like I was on the way, and like I kind of felt like I didn't want to do it because I was lonely and horny. I was like, dude.
SPEAKER_02He he flip-flopped on that shit so many times, and that's why I kept thinking that he was putting on a facade because he would he would consistently talk about how he knew that what he was doing is wrong, but then he would also flip the coin and he would just start talking about like the inner studio. Can we pause for a second?
SPEAKER_01And that is the weirdest catchphrase I've ever heard in my life.
SPEAKER_02Like it's because it's coming from a pedophile, so it makes a lot of sense.
SPEAKER_01Like the I think it was like four or like three or four times this nigga said the phrase, and I'm gonna fuck the innocence out of you. Like, throughout a two-hour movie, and mark you, this is coming from a man who like self-proclaimed admitted he has only had sex once, and then in that same sentence, claimed that having sex with a m woman felt like fucking a brillopad. So take that as you will, like quote, like hint hint, hint. I'm saying he's never actually had sex. Like, no, no, like take a moment.
SPEAKER_02Can we take a moment to just call out that bitch that fucking was dating him? Can we just call her out, please?
SPEAKER_05Can we that was another thing? Oh, yeah. I don't know how I feel about that. Two people. There's two people the homie with the kid, two kids, whatever. She was only there for the documentary. The justification for them to be like, well, I like the Bryant that I see now. Okay, the Bryant that did all that shit is still the Bryant that you have in front of you. Yeah, he's unapologetic to that.
SPEAKER_01He is absolutely unapologetic.
SPEAKER_05That's some coping shit. Like, you know, you fucked up and you're like, I'm friends with this guy, but this is why. But he's not a bad person, and I don't believe all that stuff happened. What do you mean I don't believe there's little evidence happened? There's so much evidence.
SPEAKER_02That's why it's so frustrating that he's like not in jail. Even if he's dying, like it's so frustrating that he's not in jail purely off of the fact like even okay, here's the thing. Even if the invest the people that were investigating him fucked it up. There's no one investigating. Well, no, I'm talking about the the the dude that fucked up the first one. Uh the conservative guy.
SPEAKER_05The neckbeard guy.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01We're never hey, this is on purpose. We're never going to remember your name on purpose because you're a piece of shit.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, motherfucker. So uh he fucks it up, right? At that point, why is the state not looking into it themselves? Well, they talked about it.
SPEAKER_05There's like a loophole. He found a loophole. Not a loophole, he didn't he didn't find it. He never stumbled into a loophole.
SPEAKER_02But what I'm saying is outside of that investigation entirely, entire out of that entire situation, why are he is he not being investigated for other shit based off of that? Like you can't use it in court, but you can at least be like, okay, well, he's doing this, so obviously we can follow the trails of other things he's doing. Because I guarantee he probably wasn't doing that with only one person. Karen Fucking Keid.
SPEAKER_01He's circle Cam's right, because if you circle back to the first YouTuber who who came up and was like, no, I found out that half of his followers were underage and that he was having these conversations with multiple of them.
SPEAKER_05Oh, the Raven guy.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, so if that gets the state not looking into it, I don't get that. After the first time.
SPEAKER_05I think it's one main thing. Yeah. And I'm gonna be rude for like a second here. Go for it. Because he's a piece of shit. Imagine the amount of taxpayer money to keep that man fed and alive in jail. Because once that guy goes to jail, God, it's on our doll. It's on our dime. God fucking damn.
SPEAKER_01I hate the fact that that's a valid point.
SPEAKER_02At that point, though, you're still risking other people being affected by him by not putting him into a place where he can't access his own.
SPEAKER_05I agree, but at the bottom line is they're just like, he he's going to get murdered in jail, and we're gonna have to deal with it. Why not have him just especially now, knowing that he has stage five kidney failure. Might as well just let him rot away and die.
SPEAKER_01And let's be honest, we know how the criminal justice f system feels about pedophiles.
SPEAKER_02That's valid. That's a good point. Yeah, we just put them on a website. Release the Epcine files, release upon the file.
SPEAKER_05Put them on a website, right? They go to jail for like 30 days, and then they put them on a website, and then they can't, so that's it.
SPEAKER_01Like, I guarantee I I genuinely feel like, and this isn't me tru like. Why am I saying why why are why no? It yeah, you know what? Sometimes it does feel like the sex offender registry is basically the government putting out a hit list.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, because what's the what's the sentiment on like in any prison is that if there's a man, there's actually two types of people that are like they get fucked up immediately. Child molesters and people who um like kill their spouse, like their wife or whatever. Family, those are fucking gone. Like immediate. Yeah, yeah. Fucking gone. Top of the list, as soon as you're in there, they're gonna fuck you up.
SPEAKER_01But like children, though, like that's it basically comes down to like as I what's it called? As we are as we titled this section Don't touch the kids. Don't touch them kids.
SPEAKER_02Just don't touch them. So I guess maybe for anyone that maybe didn't watch that didn't do their homework, which you should have, but whatever. You should have done your homework. You should have done your homework. But anyway, so if anyone didn't, just to kind of do a very, very yeah, just a very short TLDR, he basically got into a texting relationship with a uh multiple quote quote unquote young girl, which was a sting operation basically from this other YouTuber, won't say his name. I can't remember it anyway. Um piece of shit. But they basically fuck it up because they reached out to him first, and I think that's basically considered entrapment.
SPEAKER_01So no, no, it was because he said no initially, and then they further goaded him with the cookies. And then when he showed up, he was able to say, I just showed up for cookies, I didn't even really and then the messages supported that.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but that that video is so fucking like a funny because at the same time he they're like, Hey, what are you doing here? And he's like, Oh, me? I'm just here to get a cupcake. Like, what? Oh, you traveled across town to go get a cupcake from a random apartment. Yeah, okay, buddy. But um, anyway, so so he basically that happens, and then he gets in all sorts of trouble because he was a he was a very largely known YouTuber who was very much about like sex and stuff like that, just being a basically a sexual deviant. And then he basically gets caught up for this, he goes viral even more because he already is viral in his own way. So basically everyone finds out about this, his life essentially gets ruined. Uh he at that point, I believe, gets the stage five diagnosis of kidney disease, and then he essentially starts getting into another situation with a different girl, which is the girl that Gideon and Skeeter ended up putting forward. And then they also botched that one by basically just trying to go and confront him right outside of his dialysis place where they can't like follow him or in into or whatever, and then he just he just leaves. Like he just left, and so nothing came from that either. And then now for the last two years, he's been doing this documentary with Mike Clem. And so now he basically has like one more year live. So that's essentially that's that's kind of a very, very like shortened, not going into everything kind of timeline.
SPEAKER_01I had more I think we missed, I think before I let Connor continue. I think we we are missing one vital point that we do let them know. Throughout this entire process, um EDP is sending pictures of his shit to so many people. Like, no, and I'm not talking pictures of his stuff. I'm talking like remember when I said gave the trigger warning for scatophilia. Like he is sending pictures of his literal shit to so many people. Mike Klum printed out the pictures and they covered his entire hotel room bed of EDP just waking up and sending the document the document the filmmaker, the documentarian. I don't give a fuck. He has a phone full of EDP shit pics. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Continue Connor. I'm sorry. I need to I need to bring that up. Jordan would have liked that part. I feel like Jordan would have laughed at that part.
SPEAKER_05The um well, there's a difference from like because we had friends who would do that, but they wouldn't do it like that. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_01Can you imagine end stale kidney failure shits? I don't want to ever see those pictures.
SPEAKER_05Here's the thing.
unknownGood.
SPEAKER_05I've been I've been at a point in my life where I was unhealthy. I mean, I'm I'm not healthy. I'm not saying I'm like like the fucking peak many whatever. But you get weird shits based on what you eat. And from judging what that man eats, he's dad got a good whole sugar sodas, yeah, fucking greasy ass burgers and hot dogs, whatever else that man eats. That ain't shit, dude. That's I I don't even want to go into it. It's probably just like the most aggressive pick of chat that anyone could ever get.
SPEAKER_02Well, I think part of it is they they said he's literally like eating himself into an early grave, and like I I think that might be to a degree intentional because I think he's trying to speed things up because I think he's in a lot of pain. Life fucking sucks.
SPEAKER_05Like, eat that burger, you fucker.
SPEAKER_02Piece of shit.
SPEAKER_01If you are just going to slow, slow walk yourself out of this earth by uh via burgers and sugary sodas, I'm sorry, EDP. There are faster ways to do it, and I hope to dear God that like you realize you you you realize a thing called efficiency.
SPEAKER_05It I think that's more of a like maybe I feel like maybe I'm giving him too much credit at this point, but maybe he is so self-aware of how shit he is that like doing the quick way out is is not he just wants to suffer. You know what I mean? Like I guess. I deserve this painting. He talked about how God saved him when you know he um originally got caught or whatever. I think it is. Oh God was with me that day. But it's like, dude. What I was gonna say, they didn't touch on it a whole lot, they did in the uh Gideon video I watched. Is that so Gideon had a moment where he was supposed to have a one-on-one with EDP in Discord, and he has an open Discord, right? So anybody can join it. So as soon as someone caught wind that EDP was gonna be in there, a bunch of people um you know joined up, and then he Gideon added EDP to this call into a Discord full of all these underage kids, right? So basically having a Discord uh like a buffet for this fucking weirdo to pick from. And then that's essentially where that girl came from.
SPEAKER_01I need you guys to understand how weird that is. Yeah. Because we run this podcast out of part of this podcast, the part where we are talking to each other, is run through Discord.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01And there are settings that you could use for like an interview, like we have this channel set up specifically. Nobody can just jump in here because we're doing like shit in here.
SPEAKER_02We're doing our shit. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Nobody can just why would you do any kind of production level any interview in a Discord like that?
SPEAKER_02Just in general, like Yeah. Yeah, that was just really misguided in my opinion.
SPEAKER_05Like it's just I don't know. That's another documentary you should watch is the Juddy one. It's the Jitty when you're not as well. I don't have enough context on his part, but yeah. It's not as long, but it's it's pretty interesting just to see it from this man who is another piece of shit. I I kept saying it throughout the uh EDP documentary, but he would show up and like, yo, fuck this guy. But then, you know, what Jelani said earlier, they got the worst of the worst to talk about the worst person. Yeah. Like I get it. I get why they did it.
SPEAKER_01Like there were only a couple of YouTubers on there that just like maybe three of them that showed up, like in the moments where they start with the YouTuber testimony, like near the end, it's like Charlie and two or three other people at the Beginning are like, okay, these are your relatable YouTubers, and then as they went down that list of people calling him a piece of shit, the people calling him a piece of shit got in their own way shittier and shittier. Yeah. Yep. Yep. Yep. Yep.
SPEAKER_02I don't know. That whole shit's like absolutely vile. I have I have nieces and somebody let their kid be. Around him.
SPEAKER_03So another prescribed swings.
SPEAKER_01The way I like playing with children. Oh my god.
SPEAKER_05Don't no dunno. That was the way he said it, by the way. That wasn't what Johnny is. He kept saying in the documentary. Oh no, our kids are. This is the way I like to play with children. I don't want kids at all. Like, come on now.
SPEAKER_01If you're listening to the channel, I'm just saying I didn't get a I didn't get a preview. If you're listening to this and you caught any idea of me actually liking children from this statement, welcome to your first episode. We're glad to have you. I don't like kids. I ew. I got a vasectomy.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, the way he kept he kept saying, like, ooh, I like the way I like to play with them and tickle them. And I'm like, dude. That was really distressing to me, dude. Like, I don't know.
SPEAKER_02He's in like a little bit of a chance.
SPEAKER_01It's the fact that somebody let their child be like in a room with him. I don't care if it was supervised or not. That man should not be anywhere near. He shouldn't be a minor.
SPEAKER_05No way. The fact that that was a disclaimer tells you how shitty that person is. Yeah. Like for him to put in the documentary, EDP was under supervision when he was hanging out with his friend's kids. Yo, what?
SPEAKER_02I mean, there's right to watch him, but at the same time, it's like even just setting up that situation in the first place. No, yeah.
SPEAKER_01How comfortable that kid is next to him does that make me feel like the kid might uh also spend significant time around EDP. How comfortable young one was.
SPEAKER_05The problem with that kid growing up is he's gonna see all this and be like really resentful to his fucking parents. Like dog. What kind of danger did you have me in? Yeah, holy fuck.
SPEAKER_02That's just terrible parishing right there. But anyway.
SPEAKER_05Honestly, if you warning when you watch it, it's going to fuck you up. It is a fucked up documentary about a fucked up man who is slowly dying as we're speaking. Um that is taking the nuclear option. Who I and I'm pretty sure we all share the same sentiment. We do not care. We want him to die. Unfortunately. In a video game. In a video game.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I was gonna say I feel like Twitch is gonna get you on that one. The world will be a better place. Minus one. Is that the new Godzilla? Yeah, New Godzilla.
SPEAKER_02New Godzilla, minus one.
SPEAKER_05Sorry. It it was something.
SPEAKER_02Um there was just a lot of uh visual imagery because they are they're using it. We need to get into that. Yeah, we're gonna be able to do that.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah, we need to talk about look, I literally hold on hold on a second.
SPEAKER_02I I had to I had to like step away. I had to take a break in the middle of it because there is just like the first 45 minutes, because I feel like they kind of step away from it at a certain point, it's a lot of it at the second half. I feel like a lot of it's just him talking. But the first half is like straight up because they're explaining the whole situation with the first girl, and like there's just a lot of just really, really troubling like angles, and he's got like his shirt off, and the rep, like they're they're doing a basically play acting the fact like of what he was doing, which is like beating off. Yeah, reenactment. Reenactment, thank you. The reenactment, and so it's like it was a lot of just like vile, just like they're just like putting you in that room, it feels like, and it was really, really like hard to get through. Like, I literally had to take a break at a certain point because I was just like, this shit is just like it it's disgusting. Like, I'm looking at this dude's man titties, which whatever I'm fat, I have some too, but like it's just like why some of the stuff that I like that they put in there, I'm just like, dude, I get it's a documentary, we didn't need that, we didn't need that shit. That didn't that didn't do anything to pro to tell a story for me in any way, shape, or form. It was just to be gross, and uh, I don't know. Maybe it's just the shock value, maybe that's what I was trying to go for.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, put in the documentary just to be gross, but also the subject of the documentary does a lot of shit just to be gross.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's valid. Yeah. But well, we got through it.
SPEAKER_05I will note that after we watched it, the um um the documentary according to the documentorian, is that a word?
SPEAKER_01Uh all proceeds all proceeds do go towards what's it called? Uh organization. Yes, rain. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02R-A-I-N-N dot.
SPEAKER_01And they are a sexual abuse survivors charity thing.
SPEAKER_05Right. So very cool.
SPEAKER_01It's dope. It's like, yes, we were traumatized, but the proceeds from our traumatization did go to a good place.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. I agree.
SPEAKER_02And if you can, please go support them. It's an important cause. You know, everybody's every I think they said like every nine seconds or something or something like that, someone's sexually assaulted, and every like 30 something it's yeah. I think it was seven seconds. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Every nine minutes every some every few minutes somebody gets sexually assaulted. Every nine minutes it's a child.
SPEAKER_02That's what it was, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Such a fuck stand, dude.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah. So it's very important stuff. So if you have the means to do so, definitely take a look at their website and support them if you can. That's really, really important.
SPEAKER_01So we live in a world full of nasty ass niggas. What do you want? What do you want? We elected one of them to the presidency. Come on now. What do you expect? Hey, it's nasty ass niggas all the way down in this country now.
SPEAKER_02I kind of feel a little bit gross like going into the Steamy Steam reviews right after that. Do we need like a pallet cleanser first? This is gonna be the palette cleanser.
SPEAKER_05Okay, alright. Fucking pallet, I guess. Alright, folks. Well, we're not going too far, but adult content. Adult content content. Um featuring adults. Yeah. Consenting adults, please. Um this is the section of the podcast we like to call the Steamy Steam Review.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I yeah, yeah, that's going to voice after that last year. I'm so burned out.
SPEAKER_05I'm so I did forgot, I did, I did forget to talk about the narrating of his text messages.
SPEAKER_01Yo, why do you have to use the sexy devil voice actor? Hey, girl. That's fine. I want to fuck the the what is it fuck the innocence out of you.
SPEAKER_02So fucking troubling. We gotta move on. We gotta move on.
SPEAKER_05Um gotta move on. Okay, so I got two ones, two, two ones. I got two of them for you today. We got two singles. Um the first one I have up for you is Hot Foots. Hotfoots? Hot Foots.
SPEAKER_02Let me pull my scene here so I can take a look at this with you.
SPEAKER_05Hot Foots is a simple 2D game for adults in which you have to uncover hot images of beautiful ladies. Um I like the the publisher's name. Sweet Lips Publishing. So is it one word or two? Hotfoot?
SPEAKER_02Two words, hot foots. There we go. Is it foot stuff? No. No, it doesn't seem to be. It's just okay. It's just a bunch of AI art, it seems like.
SPEAKER_05Um yeah. Okay. I got a couple of I got a couple of reviews for you. Okay. Uh 0.7 hours on record. Prefer them sweaty. What does he prefer? Not sure. Um and then we got Where there are hot foots. There are only Boogerman foots. What?
SPEAKER_02Hold on, hold up. I gotta Google something potentially troubling. Hold up. Keep going though, sorry. Boogerman was a game from the Genesis era. Boogerman, a pick and flick adventure. It was a honor.
SPEAKER_04Pick and flick?
SPEAKER_01Like a booger.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. What's up?
SPEAKER_01I need you. I need you.
SPEAKER_05Which one am I reading?
SPEAKER_01To just click on that publishers. This is hilarious. I find this hilarious.
SPEAKER_05Alright, well.
SPEAKER_01Hold on, let me read one more at the end. Sweet lips, is that what you're saying? Yes. Because um the everything is this guy has the most hours on the game, so I gotta read it.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, a lot of games. Great games. They're all beautiful girls.
SPEAKER_00It's all the same thing.
SPEAKER_05Someone said in the chat or in the the um reviews that they don't even change the description from each game. So that's the one that's the what's it called?
SPEAKER_01That's the review that glued me into like, look. Like, wait, are you serious? They are serious.
SPEAKER_02Yes.
unknownHold on.
SPEAKER_02Steve, here's the thing. That's kind of genius. Sorry, go ahead.
SPEAKER_05I was just saying, I got I got one more. I got one more. Let them cook. Great game. Beautiful girls. Beautiful lingerie. Big tits. Absolute cinema.
SPEAKER_01No no.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, they're all all the games are okay. I'm gonna can I just read through the games from this developer and publisher? Sure. Toys. 18 plus. That's the name. Love. 2077. Hot holes. Cybersex. I'm just gonna song. Hot strippers. NFT Sex Club. Sex Secret. Sex Club. Sex Kingdom. Oh Dirty Pirates. And then uh free Futa.
SPEAKER_02Here here's here's my question. Why are some of these 67 cents? But two are the no, I'm just like well, I'm curious about what's the what's the difference here between because they're all supposedly the same game, right? So what's the difference here between one that costs $399? Oh, they're on sale. That's what it is. They usually cost $399, but they're on sale. They're having a hot sweet lips sale. They're having a little extended salathon for the hot flip. Extend extended, huh? I guess so. I don't know. I don't know when it's supposed to end. Something's extending. Um wow. I just needed it.
SPEAKER_01I just needed to acknowledge that like apparently these people make the same game over and over again and just change the theme of the porn images they show you when you beat a level. Which I love. I love that.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. It's kind of genius. Yeah. It is a great business idea. They're optimizing. They're optimizing.
SPEAKER_01That is optimization. Well, DDP. Listen, efficiency. Efficiency.
SPEAKER_02I don't need him becoming more efficient at what he does super good.
SPEAKER_01But moving on, Connor, you were saying.
SPEAKER_05I was just saying, in true porn form, they're just churning out stuff. They really are. Yeah. Like at some point we're going to be at Hot Feet'18. Like Final Fantasy stuff.
SPEAKER_02Hot Feats XIV. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Look, as long as we don't get uh what's it called? Hot Feet 13 2, Return of Lightning, or whatever the fuck that was.
SPEAKER_02It's probably a game out there, I'm not gonna lie.
SPEAKER_05Um That's funny. Sorry, okay. Next one here. Okay, so this next game is a little bit more uh educational, I'd say. Stripjong. Super real mahjong Venus returns.
SPEAKER_01Yep.
SPEAKER_05Yepjong is back. Wow, this one's super real mahjong. Yeah. Japanese arcade legend. Lose and the cloth or sorry, lose and the clothes come off. One-on-one, strip mahjong. If you strip scenes from any angle and distance with the industry first point blank strip mahjong system. 100% without VR. Really? 120% with VR mode DLC. Not sure what that means. Experience zero distance undressing. Oh, this is a VR? Oh. It does have VR. It can be. I see. Yeah, it can be. Uh but you're playing Mahjong, if you've ever played Mahjong.
SPEAKER_02I never have. It's always seemed kind of fun, but I it seemed kind of complicated, and I never had like an ad menu with which to play it, so.
SPEAKER_05Um a couple of these people have very lengthy reviews. Um basically saying they learned how to play Mahjong in some capacity. Oh hell yeah. Exactly. Um we got a guy here, or a person. I would say guy. I'm so sorry. You know what I mean. It's a person. A game every pervert should play.
SPEAKER_02Oh yeah, yeah, see you here. Oh, that was all of it. Yeah. This game made me learn mahjong. Peak out of 10. Yeah, that was a good one.
SPEAKER_05Um release the unofficial super real sex patch.
SPEAKER_03I need the mod!
SPEAKER_05I yelled Ricci, but she kept sucking Mahjong. Wow. Ricci is a hand you can play or something. I figured. My grandma used to play. Yeah. Just based off the context, it made sense.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_05A lot of old like white women play Mahjong, dude. Or Yang. Really? It's just like a weird.
SPEAKER_02Wait, they play Oh, I thought you said that. Not Mahjong. Oh no, I thought you no, no, I thought you were saying the older white ladies play either Mahjong or the game Yakuza. The Yakuza series. Like, wow, yeah.
SPEAKER_05Like a dragon. Cool. Love this game.
SPEAKER_03This game's sick.
SPEAKER_05Um more. Uh bought mostly to support the cause, since I suck at Mahjong. The stripping scenes are high quality, and a lot of unlockables are really interesting if you know about other games in the series. So apparently there's more of these, which is baffling. But I guess there's a market. You have to play Mahjong and see naked women, so I guess that makes sense. Can't be wrong.
SPEAKER_02There was one that was like mid-tier gameplay.
SPEAKER_05I was like, alright, bro. Alright, dude. It's uh fucking porn mahjong game, dude. Please.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, they were like, yeah, the mahjong, the girls are cute, but the mahjong gameplay is mid-tier at best. Ugh.
SPEAKER_05Ugh get off your horse, sir.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, for real.
SPEAKER_05Go play real mahjong with some real Yakuzas.
SPEAKER_01Right? The Mahjong, it's like the stripping's alright, the news aren't decent, but the Mahjong you could use Brother, you're you're here are you I don't think you're here for the right thing.
SPEAKER_00No.
SPEAKER_05Alright. That's all I could dig up today. Um we watched yesterday. I really it was something.
SPEAKER_02Yeah You're welcome. Yeah, I already feel drained. Um I'm gonna have to do a little palate cleanser after this for sure.
SPEAKER_01Well, don't forget, in a couple of weeks I'll probably have a new piece of homework that'll shatter you again. At least I hope.
SPEAKER_02I mean um I think it's a good thing to know about because it's it's if not him, then it could have been someone else out there, right? And like he was someone who was popular, so like you know, he got outed for I think because of that, but at the same like because he was simply known. But like I think one of the stats on the that documentary at the very end said that like two percent of the entire population is deemed a pedophile. So like these motherfuckers are out here, keep your head on a swivel.
SPEAKER_01Yes, they're out here and keep their head on a swivel, but there is one point of light I will concerning specifically pedophiles that I will point out from the documentary. They had that one, what's it called, anonymous diagnosed pedophile who was like, look, yeah, I have these feelings, I have these attractions, I don't do shit, and I stay the fuck away from it because I know it's toxic, and I want people who think like who unfortunately have the same problem I do. I want you to know that there is a path that you can take that doesn't hurt people that doesn't end up with EDP. You can get help the same way I got help, and that's the that's another thing I will say about the documentary that was positive. Yeah, it spent a whole lot of time dunking on a pedophile for trying to be a pedophile, but it also took like the 30 it yes, it was just 30 seconds, and like honestly, I don't think you need much more than that because it's pedophiles, but it did take 30 seconds to say, like, yo, there is a way to not be harmful, and it requires getting help and acknowledging what's wrong, and not being like the uh and not being like EDP, which is when they showed and for the like the homophobia stuff, is his specialty of like not acknowledging shit.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's just no introspection whatsoever of any kind, just yeah.
SPEAKER_01But yeah, well we love you guys. Thanks for listening.
SPEAKER_05Um, yeah, that'll do it for our little podcast here. We're the Cool Cats cast. Yeah, we record every couple weeks on a Saturday. Yes, we do. Um you can watch us at twitch.tv slash ITheCat Dead Eye. Which I might change. We'll hold up. Um we'll figure it out right now. Yeah, we'll figure it out. Yeah, we'll figure it out. Well, let's figure it out first. Um catch us on your well, if you're listening to us, then you are listening to us on your podcasting software app. Um, also Cameron's been working on the VOD. Yeah, yeah, we're doing YouTube.
SPEAKER_03Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_02I actually uh if you are interested, I did up the uh update the YouTube to include our episode from last week. So if you want to see our uh faces again, you're welcome to go do that. Um we are also I'm gonna be working on doing that each week so that we can make sure that we have a visual audience as well. Um so if you guys are ever interested, take a look at our uh YouTube channel. It's Cool Cats. Uh actually, let me make sure I have the right one here because I want to make sure that we give you guys the right one. Because we don't we haven't used it historically a lot, but let me make sure I'm using the right thing. So yeah, it's just cool uh the cool cats cast. So if you take a look at that, um you should be able to see at least last week's um and then there's a couple of other ones from uh prior, a couple of years ago, I think. But yeah, we're gonna be doing those moving forward. Um so definitely take a look and uh you know if if you wanted to throw us some views, we'd appreciate that. And uh especially if you can like it. Umscribe thing.
SPEAKER_01We very much appreciate you generally sharing our content. If your friends and your family don't like us, we don't blame them, we don't fault them, we understand we are an acquired taste, but at least give them a spoonful, please.
SPEAKER_05It's just a little more we do have a fan mail service, which I have some weird responses on.
SPEAKER_01Um have we received fan mail? No, we'll show you.
SPEAKER_02I wouldn't say I wouldn't say we have I think I think it's I think it's spam.
SPEAKER_05But if you f ever feel like you want to send in some fan mail, there's a link in the description. I believe you can leave a text and also or and or a voicemail. Yeah. If it's deemed um appropriate, maybe we'll slide it in at some point.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it'd be really cool to hear from you guys, so definitely take a look.
